Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in WSO2 API Control Plane, API Manager, Carbon API Management Implementation, Traffic Manager and Universal Gateway. This affects an unknown part of the component Admin REST API. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
The Admin REST API accepts user-supplied input without adequately sanitizing it, allowing it to be included in the structure of SQL statements. A user with administrator privileges can exploit this by influencing the structure of executed SQL statements, enabling blind SQL injection to infer database information and potentially impact the availability of the database service.
The advisory is shared at security.docs.wso2.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2026-2613 since 02/17/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. Additional levels of successful authentication are needed for exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. The price for an exploit might be around USD $0-$5k at the moment (estimation calculated on 11/02/2026). MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1505 for this issue.
