Details
A vulnerability classified as critical was found in OwnTone Server up to 29.3. Affected by this vulnerability is the function mpd_sticker_find of the file src/mpd.c of the component MPD Listener. The manipulation of the argument URI with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
OwnTone Server through 29.3 contains an sql injection vulnerability in mpd_sticker_find() in src/mpd.c that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to inject SQL via the URI argument. Attackers can send a crafted 'sticker find song' command to the MPD listener on TCP port 6600 to bypass path restrictions and enumerate all media files with filesystem paths and metadata.
