Details
A vulnerability was found in Control Web Panel up to 1.29. It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown functionality of the component Loopback API. The manipulation of the argument user with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Control Web Panel (CWP) before webpanel_version 1.30 contains a blind SQL injection vulnerability in an unauthenticated loopback API route that connects to MySQL as root, where the 'user' parameter is interpolated directly into a query against the oauth_clients table. Attackers can send crafted requests to the unauthenticated route (originally /user_panel_dashboard/, later /valid_token/) to perform time-based blind SQL injection and extract arbitrary database contents.
The advisory is shared for download at control-webpanel.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2026-77881 since 08/21/2026. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely.
