GitHub Enterprise Server up to 3.22.x Integration Removal Endpoint cross-site request forgery

CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability was found in GitHub Enterprise Server up to 3.22.x. It has been rated as problematic. This issue affects an unknown code block of the component Integration Removal Endpoint. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross-site request forgery vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-352. The web application does not, or can not, sufficiently verify whether a well-formed, valid, consistent request was intentionally provided by the user who submitted the request. Impacted is integrity. The summary by CVE is:

A cross-site request forgery vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an unauthenticated attacker to delete stored Slack and Microsoft Teams ChatOps configuration and provider credentials by inducing an authenticated Management Console operator's browser to send a cross-site GET request to the integration removal endpoint without a CSRF token. Exploitation required configured ChatOps integrations and an operator visiting attacker-controlled content while signed in to the Management Console; deletion could disrupt ChatOps notifications and commands when configuration was applied or services reloaded. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.23 and was fixed in versions 3.19.14, 3.20.10, 3.21.8, and 3.22.3. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.
