Details
A vulnerability was found in Red Hat dnf5daemon-server (affected version unknown) and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown functionality of the component D-Bus Session. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a privileges management vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-269. The product does not properly assign, modify, track, or check privileges for an actor, creating an unintended sphere of control for that actor. Impacted is integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
A flaw was found in dnf5daemon-server. Session methods on dynamically exported D-Bus session objects do not verify that the caller is the unique sender that created the session. A local attacker can modify another user's live package-management session and replace its resolved transaction plan. If the legitimate session party later authorizes execution, the root daemon may apply the attacker-chosen package operations.
