Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in SuiteCRM up to 7.15.1/8.10.1. Affected by this issue is the function securexss of the component Email Template Attachment Handler. The manipulation of the argument remove_attachment with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
SuiteCRM is an open-source, enterprise-ready Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software application. Prior to 7.15.2 and 8.10.2, email template attachment handling passes the remove_attachment POST parameter array through HTML-oriented securexss() processing and directly interpolates its elements into an SQL UPDATE statement. An authenticated attacker can inject SQL to disclose database information or abuse the UPDATE context to soft-delete all records in the notes table in one request. This issue is fixed in versions 7.15.2 and 8.10.2.
The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2026-69136 since 08/03/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1505 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
