Details
A vulnerability was found in SuiteCRM up to 7.15.1/8.10.1. It has been classified as critical. This affects the function portal_get_entry_list of the component SOAP Portal. The manipulation of the argument where/order_by with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
SuiteCRM is an open-source, enterprise-ready Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software application. Prior to 7.15.2 and 8.10.2, the legacy SOAP portal method portal_get_entry_list propagates caller-controlled where and order_by values into SQL query construction without sufficient neutralization. A low-privileged portal API user can perform blind SQL injection to disclose database metadata and sensitive records, affect query behavior, and consume resources. This issue is fixed in versions 7.15.2 and 8.10.2.
