Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Craft CMS up to 4.18.8/5.11.1. This affects an unknown code of the component GraphQL. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Without sufficient removal or quoting of SQL syntax in user-controllable inputs, the generated SQL query can cause those inputs to be interpreted as SQL instead of ordinary user data. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
Craft CMS 4.0.0 before 4.18.9 and 5.0.0 before 5.11.2 contains an SQL injection vulnerability in GraphQL eager-loading: arguments on eager-loadable nodes absent from the public schema are copied into EagerLoadPlan criteria without cleansing. Unauthenticated attackers can supply a parenthesized select argument to inject SQL expressions and read arbitrary database content, including password hashes and session tokens.
It is possible to read the advisory at github.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2026-123491 since 11/06/2026. The exploitability is told to be easy.
