Details
A vulnerability was found in DBeaver CloudBeaver up to 26.1.1 and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown code block of the component Resource Management. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
CloudBeaver is a cloud database manager. Prior to 26.1.2, its resource-management project resolution accepts project identifiers without validating that they are safe path components. An authenticated user with resource-management privileges can supply a crafted project identifier that causes path resolution to escape the shared-projects directory and enumerate directory names elsewhere on the server. This can disclose filesystem layout information. Arbitrary file reads, writes, and deletion are not confirmed. The issue is fixed in 26.1.2 by validating project names before resolving the shared-project path.
The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2026-55449 since 06/16/2026. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1006 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
Upgrading to version 26.1.2 eliminates this vulnerability.
