Details
A vulnerability was found in Oracle Enterprise Manager 10.2.0.4 (Software Management Software) and classified as problematic. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the component Enterprise Manager. The manipulation of the argument REFRESHCHOICE with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-80. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. Impacted is integrity. The summary by CVE is:
Unspecified vulnerability in the Resource Manager component in Oracle Database 10.1.0.5, 10.2.0.4, and 11.1.0.6, and Database Control in Enterprise Manager, has unknown impact and remote authenticated attack vectors. NOTE: the previous information was obtained from the Oracle July 2008 CPU. Oracle has not commented on reliable researcher claims that this is a cross-site scripting (XSS) issue that allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the REFRESHCHOICE parameter in multiple web pages.
