Details
A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in Event Tickets with Ticket Scanner Plugin up to 3.2.8. Affected is some unknown functionality. The manipulation of the argument search with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Without sufficient removal or quoting of SQL syntax in user-controllable inputs, the generated SQL query can cause those inputs to be interpreted as SQL instead of ordinary user data. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. CVE summarizes:
The Event Tickets with Ticket Scanner WordPress plugin before 3.2.9 does not properly escape a search value before using it in SQL queries in several of its admin listings, allowing users with access to its admin area (administrators by default, or any role granted access in its settings) to perform SQL injection attacks.
