Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in account.php in Lussumo Vanilla 1.1.5-rc1, 1.1.4, and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the Value field (aka Label ==> Value pairs). NOTE: some of these details are obtained from third party information.
The weakness was presented 08/29/2008 by James Bercegay with Gulftech as not defined posting (Bugtraq). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2008-3874 since 08/29/2008. The attack can be launched remotely. A single authentication is required for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1059.007 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
