A vulnerability has been found in Phlatline Personal Information Manager 1.0 and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown code block of the file upload.php. The manipulation of the argument file with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in upload.php in Phlatline s Personal Information Manager (pPIM) 1.0 allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary files via directory traversal sequences in the file parameter within a delfile action.
