Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the LiveSearch module in Plone before 3.0.4 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the Description field for search results, as demonstrated using the onerror Javascript even in an IMG tag.
The bug was discovered 12/03/2007. The weakness was disclosed 12/03/2007 (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2008-4571 since 10/15/2008. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
