Visual truncation vulnerability in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 allows remote attackers to spoof the address bar via a URL with a hostname containing many (Non-Blocking Space character) sequences, which are rendered as whitespace, aka MSRC ticket MSRC7899, a related issue to CVE-2003-1025.
The issue has been introduced in 03/22/2001. The weakness was presented 10/29/2008 by Amit Klein (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at xforce.iss.net. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2008-4787. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation.
