A vulnerability was found in XMLSoft libxml 2.7.2. It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects the function xmlBufferResize of the component libxml2. Integer overflow in the xmlBufferResize function in libxml2 2.7.2 allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) via a large XML document.
The bug was discovered 11/17/2008. The weakness was presented 11/18/2008 with Apple Product Security (Website). The advisory is available at admin.fedoraproject.org.
