The bug was discovered 12/16/2008. The weakness was released 12/30/2008 by Ivan Markovic (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2008-5769 since 12/30/2008. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
