A vulnerability was found in DevIL Developers Image Library 1.7.4 (Software Library) and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is the function iGetHdrHeader. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-119. Multiple stack-based buffer overflows in the iGetHdrHeader function in src-IL/src/il_hdr.c in DevIL 1.7.4 allow context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted Radiance RGBE file.
