The bug was discovered 01/13/2009. The weakness was published 01/13/2009 by Esteban Martinez Fayo (TippingPoint) with Application Security, Inc. (Website). The advisory is shared for download at vupen.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2008-5449 since 12/11/2008. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely.
