A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Tigris WebSVN up to 1.62. Affected by this issue is the function preg_replace. The create_anchors function in utils.inc in WebSVN 1.x allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via a crafted username that is processed by the preg_replace function with the eval switch.
The weakness was shared 01/20/2009 by James Bercegay with Gulftech (Website). The advisory is available at milw0rm.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2008-5920 since 01/20/2009.
