Details
A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in TYPO3 (Content Management System). This vulnerability affects an unknown code of the component Search Engine. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-79. The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users. As an impact it is known to affect integrity. CVE summarizes:
Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in TYPO3 4.0.0 through 4.0.9, 4.1.0 through 4.1.7, and 4.2.0 through 4.2.3 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) name and (2) content of indexed files to the (a) Indexed Search Engine (indexed_search) system extension; (b) unspecified test scripts in the ADOdb system extension; and (c) unspecified vectors in the Workspace module.
