A vulnerability was found in Active Web Softwares Active Web Mail 4.0. It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown code of the file login.aspx of the component Login. SQL injection vulnerability in login.aspx in Active Web Mail 4.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the password parameter.
The weakness was presented 01/26/2009 (Website). The advisory is available at milw0rm.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2008-5973 since 01/26/2009. The exploitation appears to be easy.
