Details
A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in PHPbbBook 1.3/1.3h (Forum Software). This affects an unknown part of the file bbcode.php. The manipulation of the argument l with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
