A vulnerability was found in Pluck-cms Pluck 4.5.3 (Content Management System). It has been declared as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown code block in the library data/inc/lib/pcltar.lib.php. The manipulation of the argument g_pcltar_lib_dir with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. Directory traversal vulnerability in data/inc/lib/pcltar.lib.php in Pluck 4.5.3, when register_globals is enabled, allows remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via directory traversal sequences in the g_pcltar_lib_dir parameter.
The weakness was shared 02/24/2009 by DiGiT with Digital Security Research Group (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2008-6253 since 02/24/2009. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
