A vulnerability was found in Papoo 3.6 and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is an unknown code in the library lib/classes/message_class.php. The manipulation of the argument pfadhier with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in lib/classes/message_class.php in Papoo CMS 3.6, when register_globals is enabled and magic_quotes_gpc is disabled, allows remote attackers to read and possibly execute arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the pfadhier parameter. NOTE: some of these details are obtained from third party information.
