A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in phpAddEdit 1.3. This issue affects an unknown part of the file addedit-render.php. The manipulation of the argument editform with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in addedit-render.php in phpAddEdit 1.3, when magic_quotes_gpc is disabled, allows remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via a URL in the editform parameter. NOTE: PHP remote file inclusion attacks are also likely.
