A vulnerability was found in Rightscripts Text Lines Rearrange Script 1.0. It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects an unknown code block of the file download.php. The manipulation of the argument filename with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in download.php in Text Lines Rearrange Script 1.0, when register_globals is enabled, allows remote attackers to read arbitrary local files via directory traversal sequences in the filename parameter.
The weakness was published 02/27/2009 by rgod (Website). The advisory is available at milw0rm.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2008-6336 since 02/27/2009. The attack can be initiated remotely.
