A vulnerability was found in ComicShout 2.8. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects an unknown function of the file news.php. The manipulation of the argument news_id with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
SQL injection vulnerability in news.php in ComicShout 2.8 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the news_id parameter, a different vector than CVE-2008-2456.
