A vulnerability classified as critical was found in Netlab ClassSystem 2.3. This vulnerability affects an unknown code of the file HomepageTop.php. The manipulation of the argument message_id with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in ClassSystem 2.3 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the teacher_id parameter in (1) class/HomepageMain.php and (2) class/HomepageTop.php, and (3) the message_id parameter in class/MessageReply.php.
The weakness was presented 05/24/2008 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2008-6618 since 04/06/2009. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details and also a public exploit are known.
