A vulnerability was found in Microsoft ISA Server 2000 (Firewall Software). It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown function of the component H.323/H.225.0/Q.931 Handler. Buffer overflow in the H.323 filter of Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2000 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code in the Microsoft Firewall Service via certain H.323 traffic, as demonstrated by the NISCC/OUSPG PROTOS test suite for the H.225 protocol.
The bug was discovered 01/08/2004. The weakness was released 01/13/2004 with University of Oulu Security Programming Group (Website). The advisory is shared for download at cisco.com.
