PGP Desktop before 9.10 allows local users to (1) cause a denial of service (crash) via a crafted IOCTL request to pgpdisk.sys, and (2) cause a denial of service (crash) and execute arbitrary code via a crafted IRP in an IOCTL request to pgpwded.sys.
The weakness was released 04/15/2009 by Positive Technologies with Positive Technologies Research Team (Website). The advisory is available at en.securitylab.ru. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2009-0681 since 02/22/2009. The exploitation is known to be easy. Local access is required to approach this attack.
