The weakness was disclosed 04/15/2009 by Joshua J. Drake (iDefense) with Application Security, Inc. (Website). The advisory is shared at us-cert.gov. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2009-0983 since 03/19/2009. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
