A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in Konstanty Bialkowski libmodplug 0.8/0.8.4/0.8.5/0.8.6. This issue affects the function PATinst of the file src/load_pat.c. Buffer overflow in the PATinst function in src/load_pat.cpp in libmodplug before 0.8.7 allows user-assisted remote attackers to cause a denial of service and possibly execute arbitrary code via a long instrument name.
