Antivir / Linux 2.0.9-9, and possibly earlier versions, allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a symlink attack on the .pid_antivir_$$ temporary file.
The bug was discovered 01/13/2004. The weakness was released 01/13/2004 by l0om (Website). The advisory is shared at excluded.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2004-0058.
