The WebAccess component in Novell GroupWise 7.x before 7.03 HP3 and 8.x before 8.0 HP2 does not properly implement session management mechanisms, which allows remote attackers to gain access to user accounts via unspecified vectors.
The bug was discovered 05/14/2009. The weakness was presented 05/26/2009 by Gregory Duchemin as Bug 472979 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared for download at bugzilla.novell.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2009-1634 since 05/14/2009. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely.
