A vulnerability was found in JoomlaPraise Com Projectfork 2.0.10 (Project Management Software) and classified as problematic. This issue affects an unknown code block of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument section with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in the JoomlaPraise Projectfork (com_projectfork) component 2.0.10 for Joomla! allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via directory traversal sequences in the section parameter to index.php.
The weakness was released 06/15/2009 (Website). The advisory is shared at milw0rm.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2009-2100 since 06/17/2009.
