A vulnerability was found in AdaptWeb 0.9.2. It has been rated as problematic. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the file index.php. The manipulation of the argument newlang with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Impacted is confidentiality. CVE summarizes:
Directory traversal vulnerability in index.php in AdaptWeb 0.9.2 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the newlang parameter.
