The manipulation of the argument cwd with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in locms/smarty.php in LightOpenCMS 0.1 allows remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via a .. (dot dot) in the cwd parameter. NOTE: remote file inclusion attacks may be possible.
