The manipulation of the argument Cookie as part of a HTTP Request leads to a privileges management vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-269. The product does not properly assign, modify, track, or check privileges for an actor, creating an unintended sphere of control for that actor. Impacted is integrity.

The weakness was disclosed 10/22/2010 by Billy Rios and Brett Hardin with SpotTheVuln.com (Website). The advisory is shared for download at spotthevuln.com. The attack may be launched remotely.
