Heap-based buffer overflow in Apple QuickTime before 7.6.4 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (application crash) via a crafted FlashPix file.
The weakness was shared 09/10/2009 by Tom Ferris (TippingPoint) with TippingPoint and the Zero Day Initiative (Website). The advisory is shared for download at lists.apple.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2009-2798. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
