A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Anantasoft Gazelle CMS 1.0 (Content Management System). Affected by this issue is an unknown functionality. The manipulation of the argument customizetemplate with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in Anantasoft Gazelle CMS 1.0 allows remote attackers to overwrite arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the customizetemplate parameter in a direct request to admin/settemplate.php.
