The weakness was released 01/16/2008 by Alexander Kornbrust with Application Security, Inc. (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at us-cert.gov. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2008-7236 since 09/14/2009. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
