A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in PAD Site Scripts 3.6. This issue affects an unknown code of the file rss.php. The manipulation of the argument cat with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-79. Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in PAD Site Scripts 3.6 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the cat parameter to (1) rss.php and (2) opml.php.
The weakness was presented 09/15/2009 (Website). The advisory is shared at vupen.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2009-3191 since 09/15/2009. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
A public exploit has been developed by Mr.SQL and been published before and not just after the advisory. The exploit is available at exploit-db.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept.
