The core server component in PostgreSQL 8.3 before 8.3.8 and 8.2 before 8.2.14, when using LDAP authentication with anonymous binds, allows remote attackers to bypass authentication via an empty password.
The weakness was presented 09/17/2009 (Website). The advisory is available at redhat.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2009-3231. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
