Details
A vulnerability was found in EMC Documentum Applicationxtender Workflow Manager up to 5.40 (Content Management System). It has been classified as very critical. This affects an unknown code of the file aws_tmxn.exe of the component Agent Service. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
Directory traversal vulnerability in aws_tmxn.exe in the Admin Agent service in the server in EMC Documentum ApplicationXtender Workflow, possibly 5.40 SP1 and earlier, allows remote attackers to upload arbitrary files, and execute arbitrary code, via directory traversal sequences in requests to TCP port 2606.
