A vulnerability was found in Kreotek phpBMS 0.96. It has been rated as problematic. This issue affects an unknown part of the file footer.php of the component Error Message Handler. phpBMS 0.96 allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information via a direct request to (1) footer.php, (2) header.php, (3) the show action in advancedsearch.php, and (4) choicelist.php, which reveals the installation path in an error message.
The weakness was presented 10/22/2009 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at milw0rm.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2009-3756 since 10/22/2009. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known.
