Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in intruvert/jsp/module/Login.jsp in McAfee IntruShield Network Security Manager (NSM) before 5.1.11.6 allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) iaction or (2) node parameter.
The weakness was shared 11/06/2009 (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2009-3565 since 10/05/2009. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.
It is possible to download the exploit at exploit-db.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:Login.jsp it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking. Upgrading to version 5.1.7.73 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
