A vulnerability was found in Oracle Database Server 11.1.0.7/11.2.0.2/11.2.0.3 (Database Software) and classified as critical. This issue affects an unknown part of the file /em/console/ecm/search/searchPage of the component Enterprise Manager Base Platform. The manipulation of the argument SCPLBL_INSTALLED_DATE0DI with an unknown input leads to a sql injection vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-89. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2012-0525 since 01/11/2012. The attack may be initiated remotely. A simple authentication is necessary for exploitation. Technical details as well as a private exploit are known. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1505 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
It is declared as proof-of-concept. The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 58798 (Oracle Database, April 2012 Critical Patch Update), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family Databases. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 19664 (Oracle Database April 2012 Security Update Multiple Vulnerabilities (CPUAPR2012)).
