Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in JMX-Console in JBossAs in Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (aka JBoss EAP or JBEAP) 4.2 before 4.2.0.CP08 and 4.3 before 4.3.0.CP07 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the filter parameter, related to the key property and the position of quote and colon characters.
The weakness was presented 12/15/2009 as Bug 511224 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared for download at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2009-1380. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.007.
