Details
A vulnerability was found in Compmaster.prv.pl F3Site 2009. It has been rated as critical. This issue affects an unknown function. The manipulation of the argument GLOBALS[nlang] with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
Multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities in F3Site 2009 allow remote attackers to include and execute arbitrary local files via directory traversal sequences in the GLOBALS[nlang] parameter to (1) mod/poll.php and (2) mod/new.php.
The weakness was disclosed 12/28/2009 (Website). The advisory is shared at exploit-db.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2009-4435 since 12/28/2009. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known.
